After a careful process of ‘throwing’, he uses self-created turning tools
to peel out all unnecessary parts within
the surface for a smooth line and texture.
As a difficult process that requires great concentration,
LEE continuously endeavours to reach the perfected shape and weight for every single piece.
For a high-quality finish, he often coats the pots with a matt glaze, created with his recipe.
The thick glaze on the porcelain pots forms a richer and smoother texture to his works.
With a meticulous attention to detail, LEE attempts to focus on all parts of the making,
placing exceptional care towards areas that may often be unnoticed.
Feeling the bottom of LEE’s pots, one would notice that a polishing technique
has been used instead of a glaze finish.
