작가소개

나는 뚜렷한 형태를 디자인하지는 않는다.
순간의 감성과 지나온 시간의 익숙함으로 완성되는 잔은 십 수 년 전 부터 만들어오던 잔이지만 조금 전에 만들어졌던 잔과는 또 다른 잔이다.

모양도 크기도 들쑥날쑥하지만 그것들은 모두 나를 닮아있다.


Lee Chan-woo does not design specific shapes.
His cups are completed based on his sensibility of the moment and the familiarity coming from his past experiences,
and are both the same cups he has been making for more than a decade, but also different cups from those he made a moment ago.

The cups are inconsistent in their shapes and sizes, but they all portray his uniqueness.
He takes pride in not having to sign his works many just know immediately that the works are his.



작품설명

손맛이 나고 자연스럽고 하나밖에 없는 유리식기를 만들고자 하였다.
모양과 크기가 들쑥날쑥하고 제각각이다. 찌그러졌지만 투명하여 투박함과 산뜻함이 조화를 이룬다.
무게가 가볍고, 찌그러진 굴곡이 손에 잘 맞아 잡았을 때 편하고, 음료를 마실 때 입술에 닿는 느낌이 좋도록 제작하였다.



The artist wanted to make natural and unique glassware with hints of handmade features.
The glassware are crushed but transparent, harmonizing ruggedness and freshness.
They are light in weight, comfortable when held as the crushed curves fit well in the hand,
and designed to feel good when they touch the lips for drinking.
