작가소개

가구 디자이너 문승지는 계원예술대학교를 졸업하고 서울과 제주를 기반으로한 "mun design studio" 를 운영하고 있으며
스토리텔링을 기반으로 한 자신만의 디자인 프로세스를 통해 다양한 이야기와 사회적 메시지를 담은 실험적인 개인작업
및 디자인 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다.
또한 아티스트 레이블 “ Teamvirals” 를 공동으로 설립하여 다양한 국내외 기업 및 브랜드 협업 프로젝트를
기획하고 제품 및 가구 디자인은 물론 오브제, 설치, 공간 디자인 등 폭넓은 영역을 아우르며 디자인 행보를 활발히 이어가고 있다.



Furniture Designer Mun Seungji graduated from Kaywon University of Arts & Design and currently runs Mun Design Studio,
headquartered in Seoul and Jeju. Through unique design processes based on storytelling, he conducts experimental design
projects and personal work that convey various stories and social messages. He also co-founded the artist label
"Teamvirals" through which he plans various collaborative projects with Korean and foreign companies and brands
and continues to actively engage in design activities that cover a wide range of areas,
including product and furniture designs, objects, installations, and space designs.



작품설명

포브라더스(Four Brothers) 체어는 하나의
기성 합판(1200x2400)에서 버려지는 나무가 없이
4개의 의자가 탄생한다. 의자를 제작할때 생겨나는 산업폐기물을 최소화
시키기 위한 프로젝트로써, 비슷한 듯 하지만 모두 다른 구조를지닌
4개의 의자가 마치 형제처럼 한장의 합판에서 탄생된다.



"Four Brothers" is a work of four chairs made from one piece of ready-made plywood (1200x2400)
without any wood pieces being thrown away.
As part of a project for minimizing the amount of industrial waste generated when making chairs,
these four chairs, resembling each other yet structured differently just like brothers, were given birth from a single plywood.
