유리 전공 중에 우연히 유리가 뜨겁게 녹아있는 가마를 열어보게 된다. 그 순간 뜨거운 열기와 함께 발광하는 주황빛 유리를 보게 되었고 그대로 유리에 빠져들었다.
이후 개인전 4회와 다수의 그룹전에 참여하고 2018 Milano Vetro Finalist로 선정되었고 2019 KCDF 공예디자인 스타 상품 선정되며 꾸준히 작품 활동을 해나가고 있다.
현재는 서울 성수동과 의성 안계면 두 곳에서 ’스튜디오 글라스 무브먼트(STUDIO GLASS MOVEMENT)‘라는 유리 작업실을 운영 중이다.

유리 자체에서 오는 투명함과 신비로움, 빛에 드리우는 유리 그림자까지 그 모든 것을 아름답게 바라본다.



Kim studied and trained in glasswork, where he encountered the glass kiln full of molten glass.
The visceral heat and incandescent orange from the kiln immediately grasped his very being.
Since then, he has opened four solo exhibitions, numerous group exhibitions.
His ongoing practice was recognized as finalists in the 2018 Competition MilanoVetro-35, selection in the 2019 KCDF Craft Design Star Product Development.
He currently operates STUDIO GLASS MOVEMENT, a glass studio of two venues in Seongsu-dong, Seoul and Angye-myeon, Uiseong.
He gazes at the inherent clarity and mystery of glass, and even the transparent shadows cast by light and finds beauty there.
